This brochure guides you through the Jewish cemetery of Jistebnice, located in the vicinity of Pohoří. It draws on the results of detailed research in the cemetery and in archives completed by the Matana a.s. company in co-operation with the Jewish Museum in Prague. The text brings information to the general public from here and abroad on the oldest tombstones and various outstanding people buried here. A detailed plan of the cemetery marking individual tombstones is included which helps visitors to find what they need. The text of the brochure is accompanied by beautiful photographs and reveals some specific features of the cemetery, such as the Kohen gate and the preserved stone desk from the Tahara house. It was published by Okrašlovací spolek Jistebnice with financial support of the Jewish Community of Prague Foundation and the Regula Pragensis Association. Iva Steinová of the Matana a.s. company is the author of both the text and the photographs.
